One of the cornerstones of Ausley & McMullen, P.A.'s practice is state governmental relations.
Our attorneys represent clients before all agencies of government, including the Florida Legislature. We have experience in representing clients in matters involving state taxation, health care, agriculture, telecommunications and electric utilities. A number of our attorneys previously worked for the Florida Attorney General's Office and now devote a substantial amount of their practice to representing companies under investigation by that office. Whether the representation is lobbying the Legislature or a specific state agency, or negotiating the regulatory process, we have a depth and wealth of experience in assisting clients in their relationships with the State of Florida.
Ausley & McMullen, P.A. attorneys are also experienced in all aspects of government procurement law. We are knowledgeable about state procurement statutes and regularly represent clients in bid protests and other aspects of state and local government contract solicitation and procurement. We also are experienced in representing clients in contract disputes with state and local government entities and we are familiar with both the state and federal False Claim Acts and have experience in representing both qui tam plaintiffs and defendants in such litigation.
Ausley & McMullen, P.A.'s education law attorneys have over 65 years experience representing school boards and community colleges. We regularly represent the school boards for three north Florida counties and perform work for other school districts. Our representation covers the full gamut of legal issues that face educational entities. These include interpretation and compliance with the Florida School Code, student discipline, constitutional issues, exceptional student education, employment issues, contracting and procurement, torts representation in both administrative and judicial forums and almost all issues faced by local school districts. Our education lawyers are members of the Florida School Board Attorneys Association, the Education Law Committee of The Florida Bar and the Florida Association of School Administrators.
