Ausley McMullen is seeking a full-time paralegal with experience in Estate Planning and Probate law. Successful candidates must be able to assist with all aspects of probate and estate planning matters. Candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, have an ability to multi-task and be a problem solver. We are looking for someone with a good work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, a willingness to take on new assignments as required, and someone who will always comply with the policies and procedures of the firm. Additionally, the candidate must be a team player who exhibits good time management skills and is able to maintain a good relationship with management and co-workers.
The candidate will need excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Candidates with experience with ABACUS and Lawgic software programs preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities include the preparation of probate pleadings, estate planning documents (including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives), tracking deadlines, and all other aspects of the probate administration process. In addition, the successful candidate will need to communicate with and secure documents regarding estate assets from clients, financial advisors, financial institutions, and insurance companies.
