Ausley McMullen has extensive experience in representing a wide array of health care clients on a broad range of issues.

The Health Care team regularly represents a broad spectrum of clients in both for-profit and not-for-profit health care, including general and specialty hospitals, mental health centers, nursing homes, home health agencies, hospices, ambulatory surgical centers, pharmacies as well as pharmaceutical distributors and manufacturers, as well as physicians and other health care professionals. Beyond direct care providers, attorneys on the Health Care team have clients in the managed care/insurance industry, pharmacy benefits management, and others.

Services

The team’s representation covers the full range of legal and business issues that face the health care industry. These include administrative, certificate of need, contract preparation and review, disciplinary actions, finance, fraud and abuse, general corporate, HIPAA, joint ventures, labor, licensing, litigation, managed care contracting and payment issues, medical staff issues, mental health, mergers and acquisitions, long term care, physician and group practice representation, reimbursement (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.), sale and acquisition, self-referral and taxation – just to name a few. The attorneys also routinely handle litigation involving health care issues before state agencies, including the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, as well as state and federal trial and appellate courts.
